Jarden Corporation
A maker of everyday household goods, Jarden Corporation built a sprawling collection of familiar brands — Mr. Coffee coffeemakers, Oster blenders, Sunbeam small appliances, and Coleman outdoor gear — found in kitchens and campsites across the country. The company was born in 1993 when financiers Martin Franklin and Ian Ashken began assembling consumer brands, and it took its name from Franklin's middle name, Jarden. In 2016, rival Newell Rubbermaid bought the company, folding its many brands into what is now Newell Brands.
