Jeld-Wen Holding, Inc.
A global manufacturer of interior and exterior doors, windows, and related building products, JELD-WEN makes brands like AuraLast, LaCantina, and Swedoor for homes and buildings across North America and Europe. It was founded in 1960 when Dick Wendt and four partners bought a struggling millwork plant in Klamath Falls, Oregon, at auction. The name comes from a family farm-naming contest: an acronym built from the first letters of relatives' names, including Dick's father Lester, mother Evelyn, and sister Jewel.
