Juno Therapeutics Inc

A biotech company that developed CAR-T cell therapies, which reprogram a patient's own immune cells to hunt down and destroy cancer. Its most notable work was in treating blood cancers, and it is best remembered for its therapy JCAR017 (later marketed as Breyanzi). Founded in 2013 as a spin-off built on research from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and Seattle Children's, it took its name from Juno, the Roman goddess of protection. Juno was acquired by Celgene in 2018 and absorbed into Bristol Myers Squibb, which sells Breyanzi today.
