American Capital Mortgage Investment Corp

A mortgage real estate investment trust that bought and managed a portfolio of mortgage-backed securities and other home-loan-related assets, paying out dividends to its stockholders. Founded in 2011 as part of the American Capital family of financial firms and based in Bethesda, Maryland, it traded under the ticker MTGE. In 2018 it was absorbed by Annaly Capital Management, ending its run as an independent company.
