Lvmh Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, Société Européenne
A luxury goods conglomerate that owns some of the world's most famous fashion houses and labels, from Louis Vuitton bags and Dior clothing to Moët & Chandon champagne, Hennessy cognac, and Tiffany jewelry. It was formed in 1987 when Louis Vuitton, the luggage maker, merged with Moët Hennessy, the champagne and cognac house—the company's very name strings together those two founding families' brands. Today its roughly seventy-five houses span fashion, cosmetics, watches, and wines and spirits sold around the globe.
