The Marzetti Company
A maker of salad dressings, dips, frozen breads, and pastas sold under brands like Marzetti, Sister Schubert's, and New York Bakery. It began in 1896 when Italian immigrants Teresa and Joseph Marzetti opened a restaurant near Ohio State University in Columbus, and Teresa's creamy coleslaw and French dressings became so beloved that customers begged to take them home—so she started bottling them in 1919. The company is now part of Lancaster Colony Corporation.
