Legend Biotech Corporation

A biopharmaceutical company that engineers patients' own immune cells into CAR-T therapies to fight blood cancer, best known for CARVYKTI, a treatment for multiple myeloma developed and sold with Johnson & Johnson's Janssen. It began in 2014 in Nanjing, China, as a spinout from GenScript and was first called the "Legend Project." For its first two years the tiny team reportedly worked in a space the size of a freight elevator, and the name "Legend" was chosen to signal global ambition.
