A maker of printers and imaging software, Lexmark sells laser and inkjet printers, multifunction machines, and supplies to offices, businesses, and government. It spun off from IBM in 1991, taking over Big Blue's printer and typewriter operations, and is based in Lexington, Kentucky. The company's name combines "Lexington" and "Kentucky," its home state.
