An identity theft protection company that watches for misuse of your personal information and alerts you when someone tries to open accounts or use your identity in your name. Founded in 2005 by Robert Maynard and Todd Davis, the company became famous when Davis published his real Social Security number in its ads to prove how confident he was in the service. LifeLock was later acquired by Symantec and now operates as part of NortonLifeLock.
