A cross-border online retailer based in China that sells affordable apparel, electronics, home goods, and accessories to shoppers around the world through its flagship LightInTheBox.com and miniInTheBox.com sites. Founded in 2007 by entrepreneur Guo Quji, the company grew out of a small Beijing operation and later became the first Chinese cross-border e-commerce firm to list on the New York Stock Exchange. The name plays on the idea of finding treasures in a box, a nod to its early days shipping surprise-packed packages to customers in dozens of countries.
