Linear Technology Corporation
A maker of analog integrated circuits, Linear Technology's power regulators, converters, and amplifiers keep industrial, medical, and automotive equipment running reliably. Founded in 1981 in Milpitas, California, by former National Semiconductor engineers Bob Swanson and Bob Dobkin, the company was acquired by Analog Devices in 2017. The "Linear" in its name reflects its focus on linear (analog) circuits, a deliberate contrast to the digital chips inside most consumer gadgets.
