Luminex Corp
A maker of laboratory diagnostic instruments, Luminex is best known for its xMAP technology, which uses color-coded beads to run dozens of tests on a single blood or fluid sample at once, speeding up everything from disease screening to biodefense. Founded in Austin, Texas, in 1995, the company grew its bead-based systems into a standard tool in research and clinical labs worldwide. In 2021 it was folded into the Italian diagnostics group DiaSorin.
