Mvc Capital Inc
MVC Capital was a business development company that lent money and invested in small and middle-market US firms, offering debt, equity, and mezzanine financing for growth, acquisitions, and buyouts across industries like manufacturing, energy, and medical devices. It began life in 1999 as meVC Draper Fisher Jurvetson Fund I, a venture fund named as a playful promise to bring venture capital to everyday investors—the "me" in venture "VC"—and later reorganized into a business development company. In 2020 the firm merged into Barings BDC and ceased to exist on its own.
