A biopharmaceutical developer based in Englewood, Colorado, focused on treatments for inflammatory conditions. Its lead drug candidate, Ampion, is a microscopic fragment of human serum albumin—the most abundant protein in blood—designed to be injected directly into the knee to ease osteoarthritis pain. Founded in 2008 by emergency physician David Bar-Or, the company had operated as Chay Enterprises until it took the Ampio name in 2010.
