Matlin & Partners Acquisition Corporation
A shell company, or SPAC, set up in 2016 to find a private business to take public. Its chief was David Matlin, co-founder of the investment firm MatlinPatterson. In 2018 it merged with U.S. Well Services, an oilfield firm famous for all-electric hydraulic fracturing, and took that company's name and Nasdaq ticker, USWS.
