Founded in Elkton, Maryland, in 1997, the company built its technology as a dust-free upgrade to the loose granular absorbents that had ruled life-support systems for over a century. Its solid cartridges also avoid the "caustic cocktail" hazard when water leaks into a traditional scrubber.
