Monmouth Real Estate Investment Corporation
A real estate investment trust that owned and managed single-tenant, net-leased industrial properties — warehouses and distribution centers leased long-term to investment-grade tenants. Founded in 1968 by Eugene Landy, it became one of the oldest publicly traded REITs in the United States. The company took its name from Monmouth County, New Jersey, where it was headquartered, and was acquired by Industrial Logistics Properties Trust in 2022.
