Amc Entertainment Holdings, Inc.
One of the world's largest movie theater companies, AMC operates a global network of cinemas where moviegoers can watch films in formats like IMAX and Dolby Cinema, and many locations offer Dine-In dining, power recliners, and full-service meals. Its roots trace to 1920, when the Dubinsky brothers bought a theater in Kansas City; in 1962, Stanley Durwood opened the Parkway Twin there, the world's first two-screen cinema, and renamed the family business American Multi-Cinema. That invention of the multiplex is why the company's initials stand for American Multi-Cinema today.
