Interest Rate Risk
As of April 30, 2026, we had a total of $1.1 billion of cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities, which consisted primarily of money market funds, commercial paper, corporate debt securities, asset-back securities, U.S. Treasury, and government agency securities. We also had $0.3 million of restricted cash as of April 30, 2026, primarily due to collateral in connection with certain facility lease agreements. Our cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities bear interest and are held for working capital purposes. We do not enter into investments for trading or speculative purposes. Interest rates on the Convertible Notes are fixed, however, the fair value of the Convertible Notes are exposed to interest rate risk. Generally, the interest rate related to the changes in the U.S. Treasury rate will not significantly impact Convertible Notes valuation. We do not believe a hypothetical 10% increase or decrease in interest rates would have resulted in a material impact to our operating results.
Currency Risk
The vast majority of our sales contracts are denominated in U.S. dollars, with a small number of contracts denominated in foreign currencies. A portion of our operating expenses are incurred outside the United States, denominated in foreign currencies and subject to fluctuations due to changes in foreign currency exchange rates, particularly changes in the Indian Rupee, Taiwanese Dollar, and Euro. Our consolidated results of operations and cash flows are, therefore, subject to fluctuations due to changes in foreign currency exchange rates and may be adversely affected in the future due to changes in foreign exchange rates. To date, we have not entered into any hedging arrangements with respect to foreign currency risk or other derivative financial instruments, although we may choose to do so in the future. We do not believe a hypothetical 10% increase or decrease in the relative value of the U.S. dollar to other foreign currencies would have a material impact on our results of operations.
Inflation Rate Risk
We do not believe that inflation has had a material effect on our business, financial condition or results of operations. Nonetheless, if our costs were to become subject to significant inflationary pressures, we may not be able to fully offset such higher costs through price increases. Our inability or failure to do so could harm our business, financial condition and results of operations.
