New Media Investment Group Inc

A media holding company that owned and operated local newspapers and community publications across the United States through its GateHouse Media arm. It was created in 2013 by GateHouse's creditors to restructure the publisher's debt after bankruptcy. In 2019 it bought Gannett, publisher of USA Today, and the combined company took the Gannett name, becoming the largest newspaper publisher in the country.
