New Providence Acquisition Corp.

A special purpose acquisition company, or "blank check" company, that exists to raise money from investors and merge with a private firm to take it public. Led by private-equity investor Alexander Coleman, the New Providence team used this model in 2021 to bring satellite-communications firm AST & Science public as AST SpaceMobile, which aims to let everyday phones connect directly to space. The name echoes the most populous island in the Bahamas, and the same team has run several SPACs under the New Providence banner, with its latest one going public in 2025.
