The New York Times Company
A global media company built around its namesake newspaper, The New York Times, plus interest-specific digital products like The Athletic, Cooking, Games, and Wirecutter — offered alone or in a bundle to millions of subscribers worldwide. It was founded in 1851 as the New-York Daily Times and came under the control of Adolph Ochs in 1896, who coined its famous motto "All the News That's Fit to Print." A fun quirk: the company resisted crosswords for decades as a "passing fad" before launching one in 1942 — today its games draw so many daily players that staff joke it's become a gaming company that also happens to offer news.

Select a row to see that insider’s individual transactions. Sum of the holdings confirmed in the 12 months before this insider's last filing. A Form 4 reports a holding per line — held directly, or through a named trust, partnership or foundation, and in each share class separately — never a person’s total. Lines not restated in that time are left out and shown apart: an active filer restates what they still hold, so a line they did not restate is more often an entity since renamed, whose shares a successor line reports too. An amber marker means some were left out.
Net open-market activity over the last year: -128.3K shares. Grants, option exercises and tax withholding are excluded — they are compensation mechanics, not decisions to buy or sell.
