Northstar Realty Finance Corp.

A diversified commercial real estate investment trust (REIT) that owned a broad portfolio spanning healthcare facilities, manufactured housing, hotels, offices, and retail net-lease properties. Formed in 2004, it took its name from the North Star, the fixed navigational guide that sailors have used for centuries. In 2017 it merged with Colony Capital and NorthStar Asset Management in a three-way deal that created Colony NorthStar, which later evolved into the company now known as DigitalBridge.
