A maker of affordable, design-led everyday goods, Miniso runs bright lifestyle stores packed with homewares, beauty products, stationery, tech accessories, and toys — including collaborations with Sanrio, Disney, and Harry Potter. Founded in 2013 by Chinese entrepreneur Ye Guofu, the chain grew quickly and its name pairs "mini" with the Japanese word "sou" (idea). A fun quirk: in its early days Miniso presented itself as a Japanese brand, a stance it later apologized for and corrected to reflect its Chinese roots.
