Novadaq Technologies Inc
A maker of surgical imaging systems, Novadaq pioneered SPY fluorescence imaging, which lets surgeons see blood flow and tissue health in real time using an injected dye and a specialized camera. Founded in 2000 in Mississauga, Canada, by Dr. Rick Mangat, the company was acquired by Stryker in 2017, and its SPY and SPY-PHI handheld imagers now sit in Stryker's product lineup. Its name blends "nova" (new) with "DAQ" for data acquisition.
