A biopharmaceutical company that develops targeted drugs for hard-to-treat cancers, Nuvation Bio makes the oral lung-cancer medicine IBTROZI (taletrectinib), approved by U.S. regulators in 2025 for patients whose non-small cell lung cancer carries a specific ROS1 gene change. It was founded in 2018 by Dr. David Hung, the same doctor behind the prostate-cancer drugmaker Medivation. The name blends "Nu-" with "-vation," a nod to innovation and to Hung's earlier Medivation success.
