Oplink Communications Inc

A maker of the fiber-optic building blocks that carry data through telecom and data networks, Oplink produced couplers, splitters, wavelength-division-multiplexing modules, and transceivers used by carriers and equipment makers. Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Fremont, California, it took its name from "optical link" — a nod to the light-powered connections it helped build. In 2014, Koch Industries bought the company and folded it into Molex, where its parts live on today.
