Opus Bank
A California-chartered commercial bank born during the Great Recession when a veteran banker took over Bay Cities National Bank and rebranded it in 2010 as Opus Bank, serving entrepreneurs, small and midsize businesses, and real-estate investors across the western United States. Its name comes from the Latin for "work" — a nod to the bank's mission of relationship-based lending. In 2020, Pacific Premier Bank bought it and folded its branches into its own.
