Phh Corporation

A mortgage banking and fleet management company that grew out of a 1946 partnership in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Its name comes from the initials of its three founders—Duane Peterson, Harley Howell, and Richard Heather—who first managed corporate automobile fleets before the firm expanded into residential mortgage origination and servicing. In 2026 its mortgage arm was rebranded Onity Mortgage.
