Pra Health Sciences Inc

A contract research organization that ran clinical trials and data services for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, PRA Health Sciences began in 1976 as the Anti-Inflammatory Drug Study Group in Charlottesville, Virginia. It was renamed PRA in 1982 as it broadened beyond inflammation, and the letters were kept later simply to honor the company's roots rather than stand for anything. In 2021 the firm was folded into ICON plc.
