An international energy services company that drills oil and gas wells in some of the world's toughest places — from arctic ice to jungles reachable only by helicopter, using rigs designed to be airlifted in pieces. Founded in 1934 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Gifford C. Parker, an Illinois farmer who moved to the oil patch, it also rents drilling equipment through its Quail Tools brand. Early on it was nicknamed "Parker Camel" in Oklahoma before settling on its founder's name.
