Phoenix Tree Holdings Ltd
A Chinese co-living platform that leased apartments from landlords, renovated and furnished them, then rented them out to young professionals and students. Founded in 2015, it grew quickly and listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2020 under the ticker DNK. Its Chinese brand name, Danke, literally means "eggshell" — chosen to suggest a cozy protective shell for newcomers to big cities.
