Pike Electric Corporation

A builder and maintainer of the power lines, substations, and other utility infrastructure that keep electricity, gas, and telecom services flowing across the United States. Founded in 1945 by Floyd S. Pike, it began in post-war North Carolina with a small crew and a single salvaged truck, growing into one of the nation's largest utility contractors — including the crews that rush out to restore power after major storms. The name honors its founder, and the company stayed in the Pike family for generations.
