Pioneer Energy Services Corp

A U.S. oilfield services company that drilled and serviced wells for oil and gas operators, both on land at home and abroad in places like Colombia. It started in 1968 as Pioneer Drilling Company in San Antonio, Texas, drilling rigs only, then renamed itself Pioneer Energy Services in 2012 after adding well servicing, wireline, and coiled tubing work. In 2021 it was folded into fellow driller Patterson-UTI Energy.
