Pretium Resources Inc

A Canadian gold miner that built and ran the Brucejack Mine, a high-grade underground operation in the remote "Golden Triangle" of British Columbia. Explorer and veteran mining executive Robert Quartermain founded the company in 2010 after buying the Brucejack deposit, whose name comes from the nearby lake and fault line. The company's own name plays on the Latin word "pretium" (meaning value or price), spelled "Pretivm" with a classic Latin "v" — a nod to the worth it saw in the ground.
