Proof Acquisition Corp I

A blank-check company, or SPAC, created to take a private business public through a merger. It was led by John Backus, co-founder of the PROOF Fund, which gave it its name, and it raised money by listing on the New York Stock Exchange in 2021. In late 2023 it merged with Volato, a private aviation firm known as the largest operator of HondaJets in the United States, and the combined company took on the ticker SOAR.
