A maker of data analytics and integration software, Qlik helps businesses pull together data from many sources and explore it visually through products like Qlik Cloud Analytics and Qlik Talend Cloud. It was founded in 1993 in Lund, Sweden, by Björn Berg and Staffan Gestrelius, who built its signature "associative engine" to let users freely explore connections in their data. The name began as "Quik," an acronym for Quality, Understanding, Interaction, and Knowledge, and was respelled "Qlik" after another company claimed the original spelling.
