Qts Realty Trust, Inc.
A data-center real estate company that owns and runs large, "carrier-neutral" facilities where cloud giants like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, and Google, along with major enterprises, house the servers that power the internet. The name QTS stands for "Quality Technology Services," a nod to its start in 2003, when founder Chad Williams and his wife bought an office building in Overland Park, Kansas, that happened to contain a small data center — and turned it into one of the world's largest data-center platforms. In 2021, private-equity firm Blackstone took the company private.
