A home-services marketplace that connects homeowners with professionals across hundreds of categories, from plumbing to painting. It began in 1995 as Angie's List, when co-founder Angie Hicks went door-to-door collecting neighbors' ratings of local contractors; the name honors her. After merging with HomeAdvisor, the company spun off from parent IAC in March 2025 to operate independently.
