Quarterhill Inc.
A Canadian technology company that builds intelligent transportation systems — automated tolling, weigh-in-motion, traffic-flow management, and vehicle-classification tools used by government agencies and toll operators. It began in 1992 in Calgary as WiLAN, a wireless-tech firm founded by Hatim Zaghloul and Michel Fattouche, and later became a patent-licensing powerhouse before renaming itself Quarterhill in 2017. The old WiLAN name still lives on as the brand for its patent-licensing business.
