Questar Corporation

A Utah natural gas utility and pipeline company that supplies homes and businesses in the Rocky Mountain region. It traces its roots to 1922, when natural gas was discovered near Rock Springs, Wyoming, and it grew from the Mountain Fuel Supply Company, a Salt Lake City utility. In 1984 it reorganized as a holding company and adopted the name "Questar," a coinage blending "quest" with a modern suffix to suggest the search for energy.
