Rpt Realty

A maker of open-air, grocery-anchored shopping centers, RPT Realty was a real estate trust that owned and ran the everyday strip malls where families pick up milk and groceries across the US. Its roots reach back to 1955, when the Gershenson family started managing properties, and it took the RPT name in 2018 because that was already its stock ticker. In 2024 the company was absorbed by fellow landlord Kimco Realty, ending its run as an independent name.
