Reald Inc.

A technology company that brought modern digital 3D to movie theaters, RealD makes the circularly polarized projectors and lightweight glasses used for 3D screenings in cinemas around the world. Founded in 2003 by Michael Lewis, Joshua Greer, and Richard Boyd, it got its start when the founders bought up the 3D patents of stereoscopy pioneer Lenny Lipton. Its name is a playful twist on "Real 3D," and Disney's Chicken Little became the first feature to use its technology in 2005.
