Redwoods Acquisition Corp.
A special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC — a "blank check" firm that raises money through an initial public offering to later merge with a private business and take it public. Founded in 2021 and based in New York, Redwoods originally aimed to target companies in the carbon-neutral and energy-storage industries. In 2024 it merged with ANEW Medical, a biotech developing gene therapies for neurodegenerative diseases, and the combined company now trades on Nasdaq under the ticker WENA — a name chosen to reflect giving patients a "new" beginning.
Common stock — Merged with ANEW Medical, Inc. in June 2024
