Regions Financial Corporation

A regional bank holding company, Regions offers everyday retail and mortgage banking, commercial banking, and wealth management services across the South, Midwest, and Texas, with branches concentrated in Florida, Tennessee, and Alabama. It began in 1971 when three Alabama banks joined forces as First Alabama Bancshares — born partly because a single bank's loan limit was too small to serve growing customers — and renamed itself Regions in 1994 once it had grown beyond its home state.
