Reinsurance Group of America Inc

A maker of life and health reinsurance, RGA backs other insurers by taking on some of the risk they carry on individual and group life, disability, long-term care, and retirement policies, working with clients across dozens of countries. It grew out of General American Life Insurance, starting as that company's reinsurance arm in 1973 before going public on its own in 1993. The name RGA is simply short for Reinsurance Group of America, though its reach now spans the globe.
