A major U.S. tobacco holding company and subsidiary of British American Tobacco, Reynolds American makes and markets cigarettes and smoke-free nicotine products. Its brands include Camel, Newport, and Pall Mall cigarettes, plus the Vuse vapor line and Camel Snus. The company's roots trace to 1875, when Richard Joshua Reynolds opened a small bright-red building in Winston, North Carolina — nicknamed the "Little Red Factory" — to make chewing tobacco; the modern parent company was formed in 2004.
