Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc.

A freight carrier that specializes in less-than-truckload (LTL) shipping, moving loads that don't fill a whole truck directly between major US metro areas. Founded in Milwaukee in 1984, it merged with Dawes Transport in 2005 to form Roadrunner Dawes Freight Systems, and rebranded its core trucking business as Roadrunner Freight in 2016. Its name and roadrunner bird mascot nod to the speedy cartoon bird — fitting for a company whose tagline promised "Less than Truckload, More than Expected."
