Sabmiller Plc
A brewing giant that grew from a Johannesburg brewery into one of the world's largest beer makers, SABMiller was founded in 1895 as South African Breweries to quench the thirst of gold-rush miners. It took its name in 2002 after buying America's Miller Brewing Company, and its portfolio spanned Castle Lager, Miller Lite, Peroni, Grolsch, and Pilsner Urquell before it was absorbed by Anheuser-Busch InBev in 2016.
