Sagaliam Acquisition Corp.
A blank-check company, formally a special-purpose acquisition company (SPAC), that raised money in an initial public offering to merge with or buy a private business and take it public, hunting targets in telecom, media, and technology. Incorporated in Delaware in 2021, it went public that December, then pursued deals with Arabian Entertainment and biotech units of Enzolytics before being delisted and liquidated. SPACs earn the nickname "blank check" companies because investors hand over cash and trust sponsors to pick a target later.
